Glenlake Park, Decatur, Georgia - the Georgia State Bird, as selected by schoolchildren in 1928.

12/14/2017, 9:43:08 AM
Canon EOS 7D Mark II EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM +1.4x III @560mm
f/8, 1/1600, ISO 800
Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metering
Imported into LR, processed in CC PS 2018, 60% of full frame.

This bird was doing one thing, and that was throwing leaves around, except when he took this look at me.  I hope to catch him on top of a bush, but I'm running out of time here in Decatur, though my husband and I should be moving up here within the next few months.

All feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Please look at the larger image, if possible.  Thank you!

Great pose and sweet light, Barbara. I don't mind the ground "perch" at all.  It creates a lovely earth tone palette.  I do think it could benefit from cropping about half the empty space off both the bottom and the right.

Very nice color, light, and detail on this Thrasher image.  Good job on the head turn.

A sweet capture of this handsome fellow in its habitat Barbara.

Great pose and sharp details. I might be tempted to crop it a bit tighter, if the file would hold up,  perhaps a panoramic type of crop might look nice?

A Beauty as is though laugh
