I liked the light and the unusual pose with this drake.  Wasn't sure where to put it in the frame, with the head going one way and the body the other.  After experimentation, I decided that a vertical crop with the bird centered left to right, looked the best.  D500, 150-600 @ 400, f9, 1/1000, ISO 1000.  Critique always welcomed.

Awfully nice, Jim. The centered framing works great with the pose and the elliptical pooling in the water. Lots to like here and you should be proud of this.

I love the pose, Jim, and the light is sweet.  I'm unsure about the crop.  for my taste, the reflection doesn't add anything to this image and I think it might work better with quite a bit off the bottom ( above the large ripple) and a touch added on the top.

Certainly a different view of this beautiful duck.  The detailers terrific.  I like the concentric rings and I think you did well to choose the vertical crop.
