Frost Feathers (moved from PA)

I'm not sure if this one belongs here or in Man "& Nature, but there was a lot of processing done to bring out the tewxtures and get a fairly uniform tone across the image.  My wife was heading out to run some errands last week and she noticed these really neat frost patterns on all the vehicle windows and told me I should get my camera.  This one was shooting at the window with the door closed trying to get the light from the opposite window.

5Diii, 180mm f/3.5 macro, hand held, f/4, 1/1250, iso 640, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in PS & LR CC.  Quite a bit of texture enhancement with Topaz Detail.  Cropped to 11.8 MP to get minimize the darker edges.

Your comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis, this is delightful and well timed for the holidays. Glad you took your wife's advice. Looks like fine art glass.

Love these frost feathers. There are all kinds of possibilities here for different colors by taking from inside car with lights behind or from outside with interior lights on, etc. Keep them coming.

Hey Dennis!... Thanks for posting in the Photo Art gallery, but I'm going to move your image "Frost Feathers" over to the Macro and Closeup Gallery. Beautiful Patterns.

Dennis, this is another great frost pattern and it is always a treat when they can be found.  (With double and triple pane windows, they have become very rare in my experience...ahhh for the good old days...of chilly/drafty houses and frosted windows. enlightened )  The pattern is wonderful with lots of intricate detail and a nice change in direction along the bottom.  I do think that some additional processing, bringing out more contrast in the lower diagonal would add nicely.

Dennis, I love the intricate design here. Some might even be tempted, as I, to believe there might be a designer who likes playing with this kind of thing...beautiful.
