ChestnutBacked Chickadee
by Dennis Plank
Sorry about not posting lately. I've been fighting the flu, redoing my file storage and getting LightRoom re-established after it fell apart trying to do the latest "upgrade". I finally got back out to the blind for an hour or so this morning and stuck up a couple of branches from our native hawthorn that my wife had recently pruned out. They're just a perfect size for small birds and the thorns add a touch of interest, though they don't have all the cute moss that David's beautiful perches have.
7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 403 mm, Jobu Gimbal mounted to blind window, f/8, 1/250, iso 2000, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV. Processed in LR & PS CC. Cropped to 14.7 MP. Minor adjustments to exposure, saturation and detail. Taken at 8:56 am today.
Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.
