BEST VIEWED LARGE

Thank you for your comments and suggestions on my last image.  Your suggestions and critiques are invaluable.

I shot this image just as the sun was waking up on a calm, beautiful morning last week.  This is just a small bog area just south of the lovely little village of Bagdad, Florida.

Nothing special in the processing or shooting - single image shot, RAW processed in Capture One Pro, post processed in CS6.

Comments, critiques, ans suggestions welcomed and requested.  Thanks for stopping by.

A nice very peaceful scene, very calming. For me there is no strong center of focus. My eye was not sure where to land.

Very pretty scene, well-composed and captured.  The colours are all similar, so you might try saturating the reds to bring them out and showcase them a little.
May be just me, but seems to need a slight CCW to straighten the vertical trees.

I like this image Bill. I don't seem to have trouble finding the center of focus. The larger version seems to show the fine detail you're after better than the one above. A crop without the sky is kind of nice as well. I might desaturate the greens just a tad. Nice work.

Bill, This is a nice image. I like the comp and you have some very nice colors. I agree with Igor that the greens could be desaturated just a little. The reflections are great!

Bill, I really like the bare trees, the sedges and the reddish bushes. The yellows and greens in the background do look over-saturated to me, as well. The yellows in the rest of the image look fine, so you might want to mask those out when you adjust the yellow/green saturation.

I am on the fence with a crop from the top. I think the two bare trees need their height in the frame.

When opening the large view the details and textures in the trees and grasses come to the fore front as does the mirror like reflection, Bill. What do you think of a crop from the top to get rid of those areas of sky showing through? For me that would make this excellent image even stronger. Either way, nicely done.

My eye actually focuses on the big tree on the left-hand side of the image along with its reflection.  Very nice arc of brush below that tree along the waterline.  Really needs to be seen large.  On my monitor which was recently calibrated, the greens look pretty good.    I appreciate this level of saturation.
