Had to talk to a researcher to understand what this this. A sea snail, or limpet as its called, and is about a centimeter and half end to end. They stick to the rock faces and gets exposed during low tide. You can also see a couple of barnacles (  Balanus amphitrite) in the image.

Balan, you've got a good looking mix of colors and shapes here.  The overall sharpness is very good also.  I'm enjoying the contrast between the limpet and the relatively smooth rock that it's on and all of the sharp rocks on the left.  Have you tried rotating this with the sharp rocks at the top?

Hi Balan,

I love these intertidal scenes--the limpet is in a good spot in the frame. I also like the colors of the substrate. Well done.................Jim
