Thank you for your comments and suggestions on my previous image; I appreciate them very much.

This is an image of a long dead beach pine remnant casting a long shadow on the rippled sands as the sun slowly surrenders to the afternoon's horizon.  Taken on Pensacola Beach near Santa Rosa Sound.

Comments, critiques, and suggestions are welcomed, requested, and greatly appreciated.  Thanks for looking!

This looks like one of those Japanese gardens with the raked texture in the sand. The light is wonderful and the textures really pop. I am a tad on the fence with the small plant, but it's green adds a touch of coolness. The shadow of the snag is great.

Bill, It looks like snow to me but of course I know it is sand. I'm enjoying this composition and love the shadows and texture. Very nice!

Great eye to spot this, Bill. All the diagonals work beautifully here; particularly the snag shadow. As Preston already mentioned this does have the feel of a Japanese garden. Really nice find here.

Really nice composition amd processing, Bill.  I like the subtle tones with the warm glow of the setting sun.

Does anybody really know what time it is? Dating myself with some old Chicago lyrics. Real nice image, Bill. Simple and effective.

A little oasis in the sand.  WOnderful details and the use of directional light.  Great find and well done.  Maybe a little tight in the ULC for me, but very minor.

A beautiful image that speaks volumes. I suppose this can be attributed to the clever placement of the main elements and the choice of an apt title. I love it when pictures clearly depict a scene and still hold a different meaning.

Very nice work Bill.
