Back in November I posted a couple of these inspired by the work of Anil Rao. I had some others but got sidetracked with other stuff. Decided to post this one which may be my favorite. All comments welcome. Please view LARGE. >=))>

Both as a geologist and artist, I love this!  Beautiful textures and weathering colorsdevil  I sense, that I could just reach out and touch this.

This is surreal to me. Coming from an area where a hill is when your ankles are out of water, I have never experienced anything quite like this. Are the colors real or enhanced?

Wow, fantastic colors, lines and textures. No sense of scale, which is OK. Really wonderful capture.

Phil: A moderate Vibrance adjustment and slight contrast boost are the only enhancements.>=))>

The lines work well in the comp.  The bright green patch center left edge is a little grabby to me, so wonder about reducing its brightness.  The tans and purples are great together.

Beautiful, wild and crazy abstract that works great. I would agree with Doug about the green patch, but very minor stuff. Excellent!

Hi Bill,

Awesome colors and textures.  This will make a fantastic abstract print.  The purple and blue-green colors with warm browns and oranges provide some ideal eye candydevil...............................Jim

Nice detail and textures, Bill. You might consider cropping out the green patch left-center. Doing so would eliminate that eye grabber and also balance the composition. The star of the show to me is purplish area. Next, you could de-saturate the remaining green patches in the upper left. I like the competing curves.

Crazy beautiful slice of coastal rock?  So much going on here to look at.  The large view is pretty amazing.  Couple of crop options, but I like this big view.  Nature is pretty amazing.

This is a wonderful find for sure, Bill. I really like the lines and colors in this tiny landscape; makes for a beautiful abstract. I like the suggestion for taking the greens back a little as I think that would make the purple area even more prominent IMO. Great stuff here.

The detail and color are indeed marvelous. I am also very fond of the lovely sweeping lines that add so much interest to the composition.

I can see why this is one your favorites Bill.
