Fortuitus Frost

The image I posted yesterday is more of an escape from winter then being a true winter scene.  We had a moderately heavy frost this morning which I hope allows me to redeem myself.  A close look at the tips of the moss will reveal frost crystals.  Green in winter,,,

Iso-1600, 200-500 at 500 mm, F8, 1250th, D 500, tripod, fill flash at -0.3, EV at -1, DxO photo lab, ACR 10, Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action at 40%

David, this is a fine look at this junco and it's environment.  The pose with the bird between the two clusters looks great.  The birds feathers do seem oversharpened (or maybe just overly bright in the head and neck) in the larger version.

David, your juncos and other birds are always well done. This is not exception. I really like the tufts of greenery on the perch here.  Well composed and very nice complimentary BG.
