Willet in the Shallows

This is from last September in mid day light, browsing around in a tidal pool. Because of the muddy bottom the MS sound waters tend to be murky, but I caught this one in some relatively clear water. I thought the higher angle of light helped to emphasize the colors a bit. Cropped to 80% of original.

Excellent detail and pose, Bill.  I like the way the Willet is concentrating on its job rather than you.

As you may expect, I would have preferred a lower point of view enlightened, but what I do like very much is the pattern and colors of the water, resembling the plumage of the bird, also in color. Well seen ! Cheers, Hans

A well captured image of this Willet with excellent detail, color, and water texture.  I like the reflection in the water.  I like the pensive pose

Very nice detail Bill, some light in the eye and a lower angle would improve this imo.  devil
