This picture of a whooping crane was taken at Aransas national wildlife refuge in Rockport Texas. It was a foggy overcast morning so the lighting was bit tricky. Feedback is always appreciated

Looks like a great opportunity.  Nice flight position.  Two things that immediately drew my eyes.  The horizon in the background is tilted to the right.  Easy fix.  The bird does not have any detail in the plumage, especially the body, neck.  Looks like heavy Noise Reduction but I can't be sure.

A pretty good flight shot of this bird, considering the conditions, Ry.  I've always had trouble making these birds look really good.  You have nice detail through most of the bird, though the back and neck don't show much.  I agree with Keith on the horizon.  Always fun to get a rare bird like this.

Nice one. I can see that tilted horizon, but I sure like that bit of color back there.  Really nice catch on the wing position.  I am on a laptop, so the image is not big enough to see how sharp it is, but overall I like it.  Is that a tag on its leg?
