Ready for Spring

I'm ready for migration to start around here and some new subjects.  Today was pretty slow with just this one Chestnut-backed Chickadee and a Varied Thrush giving me some good poses.  The hummingbirds and swallows are due shortly.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 335 mm, Jobu gimbal mounted to blind window, f/8, 1/800, iso 1250, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR&PS CC.  Cropped to 11.2 MP.  Taken at 9:11 this morning.

Your comments and critiques are appreciated.

Thanks,

Beautiful.  I like the bg. don't know if it is orginal, but it adds a great dimension to this great image.  Also, the "catch eye" is very important when photographing birds. Some times it doesn't work, but here it did.  Enjoyed seening this chicadee.

A beauty - great pose, and I love the twig with both moss and lichen. perfect BG, too, whatever it is.

For those wondering about the background, it's just out of focus grasses with the darker reddish area in the center being dead bracken fern.
