Just couldn't resist posting this for the Weekly Challenge. I had so much fun with this project, and though the color isn't natural (it's  red food coloring) and neither is the lighting (flash), it does fit in the category for this week's challenge!

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Hi Kathy,

Looks good.  I like how you framed the drop just off center.  Colors are very interesting to the eye.......................Jim

Perfect timing, Kathy.  I have played with this shot as well, and it is challenging, but you pulled it off nicely.

Great freeze image and beautiful light (natural or not). Very creative.

Beautiful light in this drip drop Kathy. I really love the rich warm red colors. That drop in the center is crystal clear.

Excellent Kathy!  Doesn't matter that's it's not natural color or lighting, it is very well done!  Excellent timing and POV.  Perfect detail where it counts most.  Well done!

Having done many somewhat like this (but not as a project or using flash), I can appreciate the joy that a successful result like this provides, Kathy.  This is great, with the very sharp drop rebound, the fine shapes in the water, and a nice clear view through the rebounding drops.  Guess I need to add some food coloring (non-toxic, of course) to my ponds...enlightened

I've tried and failed several times to do something like this... this may inspire me to try again!
Very cool - nicely off-center, sharp drip, and interesting colours.
Congrats on the WP!
