I spent an all too brief time in the Alabama Hills in the late afternoon.  My first time there and hope to be able to go back when I have more time.

Canon 7d Mark II
Canon 24-105 at 24 mm
1/200 at f22
ISO 100

Thanks for looking.  Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Allen,
I'm in total agreement that that Alabama Hills are worth a week or more.  It's an interesting place to explore.  I love that Lone Pine peak still has a tish of snow. The top edge does seem to be cutting off the arch, so if you have a frame with more space at the top, that might be worth processing as well.

Hope this was recently - no snow on them thar hills! The star ads a dynamic touch to the shot, as does the subtle lighting around the inner arch.

Very dramatic shot with the sunstar. This is a difficult exposure situation, but you did a great job with the processing here. My only nitpick is that there is a merger between the arch and the top of the frame. I hope you have some other shots where you left more breathing room at the top.

I don't think I've ever seen this take on the arch before. Nice vision. The top edge should be very esy to fix if you don't have any other comps. A little bit of added canvas and the content aware tool will fix that right up.

The Alabama Hills and the Mount Whitney area are one of my all-time favorite places. The large version is a must see because more detail in the arch and the Sierra is visible.

Michael's idea to add some canvas at the top and some content-aware fill will do the job for the merger at the top.

Nice color.and you did good job with challenging light.
