West Texas storm

This picture was taken in West Texas as a storm was moving through. I am posting the original as a reference. The picture was pretty bland so I decided to try my hand the scenery re-creation. First the sky lacked depth and intensity.  I used cloning to develop structure, and blemish dodging burning great relief for the clouds. I then used cloning to increase the size of the mountains in the background.

For the foreground I sharpened and increased contrast and then soften the image to blend. Then I used dodging to highlight the bushes.
