Winter Aconite

Winter aconite is native to Europe and is one of the earliest buttercups to bloom.  Often, the flowers are covered in snow and the flowers gradually open as the day warms.  That quality makes them challenging to photograph and image stacking often fails as the petals are always in motion.    K5 IIs, 180 mm f3.5 (1.0 sec at f18, Iso 320) 7 image stack Pmax + retouching for slight artifacts along petal edges.............................Jim

Jim: Classic portrait of a wonderful subject. I don't recall seeing one of these before so this is a treat. Nicely done.>=))>

Other than some speck cleanup here and there, a well edited stack. I do question the need for 7 images at f/18, unless you are going for overkill on the overlap. I assume the BG is a diffuser?

Thank you Bill and Phil.

Phil, I am paranoid about missing a slice so yes I overdo it on the number of images.  The BG is a white diffuser. crying..........Jim
