Sony A77!!
Minolta 100mm macro
ISO 400, 1/500 @ f5.6
Made a madcap visit to my son in Scottsdale this weekend. It was a family event but I never leave home without the camera albeit I did leave the tripod and 200mm at home. These early prickly pear flowers were the first to bloom on this plant near his home and I could not resist. All comments welcome.>=))>

Love the color and waxy translucence of the magenta blossoms. Ours have always been yellow, back when we had them some years ago.

I really like this.  Lovely color and detail..  It sort of looks like a lady with a hat on.  Is this a partial stack?  I ask because that is great detail at 5.6.

Kathy: I'm a pure single capture guy. This was shot with my 100mm lens instead of the 200 thus the apparent greater DOF. Handheld trying to maintain a proper plane of focus. The focus peaking feature on the A77II EVF helps a lot. Bill
