Great eye, Somdeb, and I love the energy in the pose and the way ti works with the slanted perch.  There doesn't seem to be quite as much feather detail as there is in your usual posts-was this a cropped image?

Very nice dynamic pose and wing position.  Good job on the exposure and color balance.  I like the eye.

Yes, the frame is a crop. Minute feather details have suffered for this reason. But I concentrated on the mesmerizing eye and overall impact that initiated me to post the frame. Thanks a ton for your input.

Fine comp and action, Somdeb. I like how the intense red eye is looking into the scene. Good stuff!

Good bird and very good photo. The heavy crop cost you some detail, but the image is still strong. Is that just blood from a meal on the left leg or an injury?

Really nice clean image Somdeb. The large crop may have hurt a little but still a cool frame.  The Kite's pose is quite dynamic!

Thanks for your inputs.
The reason of injury on its leg is unknown to me. I was near River Mahananda shooting Small Pratincoles when the subject started hovering and landed right behind me. Though the BG is the sky, I tried my best to capture the landing pose.
with warm regards,
