Another Sanderling

Hope I'm not overdoing these, but they're just so cute.  I particularly liked the both-feet-off-the-ground running pose in this frame.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held kneeling on the beach, f/8, 1/2500, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 14.7 MP.  The darker band along the bottom is where the sand dried out too much to reflect properly.  Taken at Asilomar Beach State Park at 8:08 am (first day of daylight savings time).

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks for taking a look,

Dennis, for you can't overdo Sanderlings for me, as they are so small and quick, making them fun for the challenge. I wondered about the darker band, but that's the way it is. Excellent light and exposure, and the little splash is a bonus. Good stuff!

Great pic Dennis. Nice composition as is and however have you tried backing off a bit to get the full reflection? Keep up the good work  Ry

They sure are a challenge.  It's almost tougher than in-flight shots.  This is a very well done capture.

Excellent light, detail, and point of view on this photograph.  The action pose is superb.

Nice frame.  Love the small splash behind the back foot and of course the low angle.  Nicely captured.

Very nicely done! The light is great and the "both feet up" makes this special as well as the splash from the rear foot.

Nice reflection and I also like the trailing water off the foot. Nice work Dennis!

Excellent action image captured in really nice warm light.  I like that you had enough speed to freeze the action without blurs and that you included the reflection.  Asilomar is one of my favorite places to shoot.
