Juvenile Bald Eagle
by Jan Bostelman
took this photo more as an official statement and proof of juvenile bald eagles in our area. A company was trying to put up wind turbines right next to the active nest and kept telling the state officials there were no eagles in the area and that they were over 25 to 30 miles away. So over the last 4 years have been photo documenting the active nest. So far the eagle pair has produced two eaglets per year over the span of 4 years now and I've been photographing them for proof that the nest is definitely active. This was in late July before they "flew the coop"

Very nice documentation image. The bird could use a bit of lighting, perhaps with the "shadow" slider.
Wind turbines kill huge numbers of birds, largely raptors, so thank you for getting involved.
