Dust Storm

"Sitting Out the Dust Storm" - - A bald eagle in late Fall, waiting for a nasty dust storm to pass so that it can get back to fishing in the river.  Definitely some of Nature's imperfections here. There's the hazy dust filled air, the ugly drift wood & snags and the wind blown, disarray of the Eagle's feathers, not to mention the Eagles's attitude ;-)

Sony a6500, SEL100400GM @ 400mm, ISO-100, f/5.6, 1/160, hand held.

Gary, the bird looks distinctly unhappy in these nasty conditions.  Yes, that's a messy bit of driftwood that it's perched on, but it's very common along rivers that flood regularly and fits the rest of the scene well.  I wonder how a crop from the right to 4x6 would look.  This is a good look at nature as it often is, not at it's finest.

A cool image, Gary.  I like the dull tones the dust storm created.
