A quiet and gentle forest stream, meandering through the national forest. This is a microcosm of a vast and diverse conservation forest. I like the photo a lot. The "fluffy pillow" water doesn't really show the movement of water that well, but it is certainly the vogue in presenting water flow. It does serve the purpose of smoothing over hot spots in the water. Not really a nit, just a choice.

I like this a lot, Ned.  The SS is also a point of contention and you just gotta go with what suits you. I’m torn on the space to left of the left tree. Something makes me want to crop so there is no space.  The greens are awesome.

This nicely captures the feel in the woods around there. Quiet, with moss everywhere. I like the comp. I am on a tablet, so cannot comment on bright/dark areas, but I sure like the overall scene here. As was noted, having the water so blurred like that is a choice. I like it here; it would also be interesting to see how it compared with the water different.  Regardless, I like this.

Beautiful window into the forest.  y only suggestion might be to try a slight crop off the left to eliminate the water and create a balanced look with the tree on the right.  Maybe a slight crop of the top to maintain the ratio of the original image.  Lovely feel to it.
