This is the same male Evening Grosbeak I posted an image of earlier.  It' really cool how wet a bird can get and how quickly they can re-neaten their plumage.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 435 mm, tripod with ball head and Sidekick, f/8, 1/800, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Full frame.  Taken at 9:45 am on July 6th.

All critiques and comments are appreciated.

Thanks,

Dennis, very nice image of an Evening Grosbeak bathing. I like the stop in action and the spray of water that he has shaken off.

Nice bathing shot, Dennis!  This one really shows how wet the feathers get when they're not a waterproof bird and it is impressive how quickly they can get it all together again when they get out of the water.

This is a marvelous shot, Dennis.  I love the setting, the composition, and the detail and color.  Excellent shot of this clean, but wet, Grosbeak.

It is amazing to me that small birds can have such a fragile nature and still exhibit such strength of movement.
