Excellent. This is my kind of image. The large view brings out all of the delicateness of the subject. It harks back to the best of Eliot Porter images. You could try to bring out the browns a bit but honestly I wouldn't mess with success.

Ronald, I like this image a lot! You did an excellent job with this composition which is not easy to do with this type of mage. I agree with Igor that it reminds me a lot of Eliot Porter's work. It also reminds me of some of Peter Richter's work here on NPN which I have always enjoyed a lot. You are in good company and I'm enjoying this very much! Excellent work!

The details in the large version are lovely, Ronald. This has such a quiet peaceful mood to it that I really enjoy. I think this would look wonderful hanging on the wall.

This has a wonderful luminance to it.  Additionally, the either natural or applied vignette works perfectly.  The clarity of the trunk and branches brings this up another notch. Very nice.

Ronald, this is a fine look at the young buds/leaves that glow so nicely around here in early spring.  In the larger version, I'm finding that the bare branches in the center compete strongly with the fresh growth.  I think a subtle burning in of those branches would be a nice improvement, but that an artistic choice.  This is a great image from Rachel Carson.

Great detail in the tangled web of delicate and twisting branches certainly holds my eye. And the yellow and greens are complementary colors and the interior trunks and  larger branches provide a good enough depth; but my first impression is that it would be a stronger image with a distinct foreground,...a fallen log, rocks, a stream bed.

This is a beauty, Ronald. A finely understated image. I might burn the branch on the left toward the top, but minor stuff. Excellent.

Ronald,

Like Igor, my kind of image - right up my alley. Love this.  Order from Chaos.  I wouldn't change anything.  Beautifully seen and captured.

Lon

ps.  I think the natural (or from post) vignette is subtle, but very effective here.

Ronald, this is a wonderful piece of artistic intimate nature photography for me. While you placed the main element in a rather centered position, the brighter foliage in the left lower corner introduces an appealing kind of diagonal to my eye, leading to the corresponding foliage in the upper part. Furthermore, the delicate twigs and branches show a most interesting subtle complexity to me, and you provide enough structure to the chaos to lead my eye and attention. Finally the slight vignetting fits in perfectly with your composition I think.
