Yellow Warbler
by Dennis Plank
I don't know if this is the same bird as my last post or not, but I liked this pose a lot.
Note: For anyone wanting to get warbler shots, I recommend a small, shallow pond with a drip in a wooded area. We rarely see anything but Butterbutts on our property, but I've gotten six species at the small pond by my blind and that's most of those found in the Northwest.
7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 484 mm, tripod with ball head and Sidekick, f/8, 1/400, iso 2000, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1 EV. Processed in LR & PS CC. Cropped to 12 MP. I flipped this one horizontally as I liked the energy better. Taken August 3rd at 9:15 am under cloudy skies.
