Desert Rose Garden

A couple winters back we had some pretty good rainfall in the upper deserts here in So Cal. As a result this clustered barrel cactus had taken advantage of it's placement near a rock crevice that hydrated this plant very well. Working scenes in the high desert regions there is almost always some cactus plants in view.

Thank you in advance for your C&C's and please view the LARGER version too.

Paul: Frame filling fantastic. The desert can be a gaudy place under the right conditions and you've certainly shown that  here. Most excellent.>=))>

This is a lovely collection of blooms and barrels, Paul.  You've got a wonderful glow in the blooms and the details in the larger ersion show why formats larger than 35mm were (and are) popular.

Excellent to find in its natural environment, Paul. Something one might expect to see in somebody's cactus garden.

What a gorgeous color that deep red is, interspersed with the greens and white spines of the cactus this makes a fine abstract. I like the point of view, too.
