Warbling Vireo & Repost

A first for my pond setup and a first for me photographically.  This vireo showed up for a shot while to take a bath and gave me a few shots.  I would have preferred a slightly different head turn, but I'm not going to quibble with the fates over it.  I also wish I'd given myself a bit more canvas on the left.

7Dii, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, tripod with ball head and Sidekick, f/8, 1/800, iso 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV.  Processed in LR& PS CC.  Cropped to 13.7 MP.  Taken at 8:26 am  on August 7th under hazy skies.

Comments and suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks,

Sweet little bird, and the pose is fine.
Fine detail and smoothe BG.
You could easily add more canvas on the left with one stroke of the Content-Aware tool, if you wanted.

Nice, nice, nice.  Good pose, interesting textured perch and a wonderful warm background.  The detail is just wonderful.

Given Sandy's comment, I decided to give it a try.  I've had mixed results extending perches using the content aware function.  In this case, it worked fairly well though it insisted on duplicating the last thorn that then had to be removed (the patch tool did a nice job of that).  Here it is.  It's a 1200 pixel version so you can get a larger one by clicking on it.

Excellent, especially repost.  You did a superb job with the color, detail, and pose.  BG works very well.  I know we have these in our area but this is the first I have seen.  There is an informational sign at Nisqually NWR on the closer in boardwalk that shows this bird but I have never seen one there...

Nice pose and good detail.  The colors of the bird work well with the background.
