Nishand, the "peering through the leaves" to see the grasshopper captures well how many insect are seen.  In this case, the lighting makes taking a picture very challenging, with the very bright vegetation and a very dark subject.  Both the white area and the bright yellow areas are overexposed even as the darker areas of the grasshopper are hard to see.  The well blurred foreground areas do a good job of focussing attention deep into the image.  However, the bit of unblurred stem is a distraction, that getting a bit closer would avoid.  What you tried to do here would work better under a moderate to heavy overcast or in the shade, rather than in the bright sunshine shown here.
