Sulphur on Chicory

The field behind my home for the last few days has been full of bright yellow butterflies feeding on the blooming chicory plants.  I have tried in vain so far to get a good shot of one with it's wings open.  But fun trying!

Hi John,

All this needs is some noise removal.  Comp and exposure are fine. I also like the aphid that was captured as a bonus creature in the scene..........................Jim

Sulphurs rarely land and nectar with their wings spread, John.  What you've caught here is very typical nectaring behavior.  The bf and it's perch are very nicely sharp with some good details showing around it's head in the larger version.  There is quite a bit of noise.  Is this a large crop?  The dof and the background look very good.  If you want to get one with its wings spread, you need to find one warming up in the early morning sun.

The Sulfurs hardly ever open their wings while feeding. This definitely could use some moderate noise Removal. A solid shot!
