WC # 110 - In the White Deep
by William Brozy
Here in Wyoming, the snow has become very deep. But my first photographic love is macros - although the snow has chilled every bug into submission, I continue to plug away. As fruitless as it seems, occassionally I spot something that captures my interest. I am not sure of the species (it is a composite flower of some sort - I am guessing Goatsbeard) but a like the macro patterns created by the pappus.
D100, 105 mm, 81A, reflector, support, timer and my loyal assistant, Spark, digging for rodents in the yard.

This was, in my opinion, the best in the series. You captured the textures in the plant parts perfectly. Great image!!

It has a symmetry provided by the curved petals that I like.
Give Spark a pat on the head for me too
Well done
