WC# 111 Houseplant, Lily

This was taken in response to the Weekly Challenge. The timing was just right too. For a long time the bulb in the pot showed little signs of growing when all of a sudden it started to produce a long slender stalk topped with a flame shaped bud. The bud opened to a large double flower facing opposite each other. What you see here is the one partially opened. I turned the flower so that the early morning sunlight that streamed through the window lit the flower from behind. For a neutral background I used a sheet of wood. I focused as close as I could with my 28-80mm lens on the Canon EOS 3000 @80mm, f5.6, tripod.

Thank you for your comments and critiques

Will, you framed it to perfection! I like the quality of the light too, though I would be tempted to tweak levels a bit to bring out some more detail.

Excellent WC #111 entry - thanks for posting it!
