foggy thoughts

Had a wonderful day shooting the mist rolling through this coastal forest last week. If you're wondering why the trees look so uniform it's because the forest is second growth.

God bless Weyerhauser and Boise Cascade, managing our tree farms, er forests, because everyone knows that nature must be managed.
It's great to see new stuff from you again. As usual, this one is stunning. I am always struck when I look at your shots by the technical perfection of your compositions. Great stuff. I love the shade of blue. Beautiful British Columbia indeed! On a side note, I never did get a reply from you about the link request. Is it O.K.?

I love the forest, so this image is great for me. I saw the thumbnail and my first thought was (logging #*#^$&#($ers) :)
But I really like this .. great mixture of tones.
Cheers

I love the side lighting on the FG trees. That makes this image for me.
Never thought Indiana was in the PNW.
I guess it's a keeper
For those interested here is a little more info about the location. This area was logged about a century ago and many of the old stumps can still be found dotted throughout the forest. Most of the stumps can be seen with a bunch of notches cut into the base of them. When logging was done with an axe and saw a plank was inserted into the notch for the logger to stand on. Golden Ears is now a protected area and although it has been logged in some sections the majority of this large extensive park is still old growth. The Western Wilderness Committee is trying to save some outlying second growth areas just outside of Golden Ears Provincial Park. These areas are slated for a second "Harvesting"
