Spring Palette

Gallery: LandscapePosted February 27, 20063,186 views25 comments
This is one from a few years back, but the subtle colors found on hillside in the spring still fascinate me. There is a miniature scale fall, as the buds show their true colors before the cholorphyll take over the leaves. Nice sidelight and some mist made for some ideal conditions to capture them.

Thanks for looking - all comments appreciated.

Greg,

The light in this image is amazing. The dark LLC distracts my eye. If it were mine I might crop from the left side to reduce that darkness or try to pring out details in PS if any exists.

Well done!

Thiis is really enchanting Greg. That soft, sweet light really pulls me in. I'm wondering how it would look against a lighter BG so that left bottom corner doesn't get swallowed up. Absolutely beautiful.

I love it, Greg. From a distance it looks like burning hot coals. The dark areas along the edges add a great sense of mystery.
