Just a simple abstract of the most beautiful sandstone I've personally seen. Thanks for having a look and leaving a comment.

Superb a river of hot rocks btween banks of hot lava. Is that colour exaggerated in anyway.

Oooh...aaah. Very nice. I would also like to see an alternative view with the stones detsaturated a minor amount or have some of the red reduced.
Very cool and groovy.

Yeah, Bret, this is awesome, the colors of the sandstone and then the contrast with the rock, real nice!

Wow! I honestly didn't expect such a response. The colors are not at all exaggerated. This section of rock is in shade and catching reflected light from some lighter colored sandstone above it. Thanks for all the complimentary comments.

Fan-Freakin-Tastic Bret! I love the subtle rise in each side of the stone from the trough. VERY well seen and executed. I love it.

Never having seen this color in sandstone or the area wherever this is, I can't comment on it except to say I think this is gorgeous. I think the composition is terrific, and some day I hope to see something like this in person.

The rocks running through the center seem to really add something to this. Maybe it's the contrast between the smooth sandstone and the smaller, rougher, less colorful rocks. Very interesting and beautiful.

Bret, very nice color and textures in the sandstone. The DOF and open rock river bed leads the eye along the opening here very nicely. Good job!

Very striking image, Bret. The composition really impresses me.
I agree with John Christopher regarding the color of the smaller stones. I too wish for a more contrasting color.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. I think the rocks are absorbing the warm reflected light that is illuminating the scene, hence the orangish-reddish hue. I tried removing some of this color and desaturating slightly to increase the contrast between the sandstone and the stones. The difference is subtle, but effective. I like it better. Here it is for your review.

Bret, I can't say much that hasn't already been said. I find myself looking for images such as this all the time. Images that have few elements, but yet they all fit together so well. One would think these types of images are just everywhere, but they really are harder to find than the normal landscape image.
Excellent! I love it in every way.

Captivating image and scene. It looks like the sandstone is a great sheet or net of colors and the stones anchor it in the middle making the sandstone bend out and flow. Great revision also.
