Spring At Willow Lake

My favorite little lake, not far from my house. I shot this one morning last week before work. It had rained the night before, so I was hoping for fog. There was a little mist on the lake, and nice bright greens and interesting reflections. Nikon D70, f-16, 1/6.

Simple and effective. I like the light and composition...the clump of reeds in the LRC makes it.

Perfect combination of saturated color and light fog. A bit of a crop of the right seems like it would hold the viewer in the frame a bit better.

Very nice. The lines and curve of the water draws you into the image and gives a feeling of depth and beauty.

This is beautiful, Alice, like a classical landscape painting. I love the light and haze. It's not better or worse, just different, but I think another possibility exists in cropping off the right side to eliminate the brown. It then becomes this enveloping sea of green. Really nice painting

Beautiful scene, very , very nice. However I agree with the crop suggestion, well a different suggestion acutually. I like the reeds but don't like the green area past them. It looks like a lawn that has been mown at some point. Therefore I would suggest a crop to eliminate that, but keep some of the reeds, just to the right of the small tree.

Beautiful image, no wonder you like this area. Pretty near in your own backyard, imagine that! Tim
