Buff-breasted sandpiper, juvenile.
This was shot a few days ago on Long Island, NY.

Canon 1Dm2n, 600mmf/4 w/1.4x at ISO 320.
1/1250th sec. at f/7.1, homemade ground pod, natural light, slight crop.

Outstanding!!!

There's a great lesson to be learned here for beginning bird photographers. By shooting this at an extremely low angle, you've transformed what appears to be a marginal foreground/background habitat into a stunning setting for this bird.
