Sculpted Snow Wall

I was driving over Soldiers Summitt towards Price, Utah last week and passed this wall of wind sculpted snow. I had to stop and make an image. I didn't have my snowshoes and had to wade through snow up to my hips for about 50 yards, but I think it was worth it.

Mamiya RZ 67 II, 110 mm, tripod, Velvia 100

Yes I know its got a very blue cast...I could change that, but I like it that way.

Obviously your "Blue Period" I like it very much, it is a very interesting abstract but it's also obvious what it is, sastrugi.

Brett, this is beautiful! I wouldn't change a thing. The blue doesn't bother me.

Brett,

This is an amazing abstract. I love the pattern in the sno and the cool tones. Very calming. It looks like that snow is ready to avalanch, good thin it did not on you.

Gorgeous shot!
Kind of looks like the top of a meringue pie!

Brett:

Mark is right, it does look like the top of a meringue pie! I'm diggin' the blue hues and wouldn't change 'em. Great find. Glad you went through the trouble to post hole through the snow. It certainly paid off!

Thanks for sharing.

Brett,

Truthfully, I'm to the point where I don't want to see another flake of snow for a while, but this image changed my mind. Simply beautiful. I think the blue cast makes it all the better. :toast:

I am not sure if the clouds were that cooperative - but the snow is spectacular. Wonderful abstract!

Give me a sense of scale here, are we looking at fifty feet or fifty inches?
This is pretty WOW!

Hi Brett,
I agree with the other positive comments, the tones of blue are a pleasure to view and the photo has a very 3D look.
