Sony A100
Minolta 200mm Macro
ISO 200, 1/60 @ f22

I was shooting one of our Callas this morning when this little guy joined the party. I especially like the iridescence in the wings. All comments welcome. >=))>

So this was already composed when it landed in precisely the right spot, Bill? That would be a serendipitous moment. The bug makes the shot.

The detail and wing iridescence in the critter's wings is splendid along with the composition making up the setting for it. Excellent!

Will: Serendipity indeed. This is a pretty strong flora shot in its own right so the bug was a huge bonus. I only got 2 shots before he took off to parts unknown. The other was much inferior with the wings somewhat folded and the body on the side of the stamen.

Really nice, Bill. It is always nice to be lucky, and I'm glad to see you take advantage of that luck. Nice job all around on this shot.

Great flower shot on its own. The bee landed in just the right spot to take this over the top.

Beautifully composed and executed, I love the colors on the wings and the detail on the part of the flower its sitting on (sorry not a flora person so I don't know the correct terminology)

Great macro/closeup here, Bill, with amazing detail. The encircling white makes the centerpiece of the shot really stand out. Congratulations on another EP selection for this week with this outstanding image. :toast:
