Into the Kiva
by Steve Bunn
Well, this is not a huge nature photo, but since it was taken at a National Park (Mesa Verde), I'll throw it in. The original image was taken with a Canon EOS Elan 2E, 28-105 EF USM lens at about 28mm, Velvia 50. I edited a few images this way after being intrigued by some experiments turing images into their negative. I know - very amaturish, but I just had recently got PS Elements 3. For this image, I edited the levels and hue prior to the negative filter. I then added a light gradient, rendered smoke, flare and then darkened the back side of the ladder. Nothing top rung for PS work, but I thought I'd share anyway.

8 commentsI really like the blues contrasted wwith the copper coloring. Very nice.
I would tone down the white streaming into the window just a bit.
Thanks for experimenting and sharing this image.
