This was taken from a close up photograph of an avocet. I drew the edges and filled to achieve a graphic look.

I like the simplicity. It reminds me of a woodblock print. I looked at the original... you caught all the lines nicely.

Clive, My initial reaction is, "Sweet bird."

My second reaction is the lower part of the neck needs a bit of work. That gray "finger" shape sticking up into the white throat is distracting.

I like the original bird.
