Wow....this is really nice. I like how the river snakes it's way into the rock. And great light of course! Is this near goosenecks?

Absolutely stunning! The light is incredible and the blue reflecting the s-curve river is a compositional dream! Then there's the wonderful texture, detail and form in the cliffs and surrounding terrain. Awesome image.

WOW! That is one cool photograph! Excellent composition and light. Looks like Comb Ridge Monocline? Maybe its just me but it seems like the photo would benefit from a tiny counterclockwise rotation (<1 degree). Great work Adam!

Having driven about the dirt 4WD roads in that MH area some, I was quite impressed with some of the photographic possibilities as this superb river subject you found here. There is so much in our remote lands that 99% of photographers regularly just drive right by as though if it ain't already well known then there must not be anything there worth looking at. Especially nice are bands of sedimentary sandstone like those in your background that have been nicely eroded such that they stand out wonderfully with a bit of off axis shadowing light. If one hits that region in May after a good winter, the wildflowers are an abundant compliment too. It takes both understanding the time of day it is most possible and effort moving about the landscape to find the optimal point where a water reflection will provide a good reflection of blue sky hues. ...David

I like the absence of the sky here. Good range of colours, which all are strong. I think a crop would work very nicely, where you cut 50% of the mountains above (say, draw the crop line where the first hill in the middle ends) :)

Amazing shot Adam. I have driven past there numerous times and have always wanted to stop and shoot the anticline, but it seems like evertime I'm there the conditions are terrible, but you've inspired mr to keep trying.

Scott,
This is a shot that I've wanted to do for a long time but the light was never "right". It finally took a clear late spring evening to get the conditions that I wanted. I happy to hear that my shot has inspired you to keep trying. Thank you.

I knew this was one of your best since the moment I saw it printed at TME. A well deserved EP.
And the good news is Adam has dozens of images of this quality or better that he's taken in the past year or so. Hopefully, he'll share them all here, as he's really taken his already incredible body of work to the next level.

I like the way the compression of the longer focal length emphasizes the line and color in the photo. At first glance, I got the impression the image was soft and could use some more refined sharpening.
