Had to wait out a long shower befor i could set up for this - still fighting drizzle this is a vertical crop out of a horizontal rather than change lenses

named in honor of Melody Vuong who is new to this world - her father Kiet is a superb photographer who I first met many years ago hiking out from the Rimrocks WSA in the dark

may you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday with your friends and families

I rather enjoy the mood created by the mist in this image, Nye. Love the graphic element of the trunks winding throughout the frame.

Fall in the fog is nice, and so is this shot. Great patterns with those twisted trunks.

The graphic designs created by the trunks combined with the subtle color and foggy BG make for a great image. I like your decision to include just a small strip of ground at the bottom of the frame.

Like the form of the trees you've picked here, the fog has given some great soft muted colours in this image.

Wow, what did you have to pay those trees to get them to contort themselves like that? Excellent comp, and I love the subtle colors.

Nye,

Not sure how I missed this one - must have been my lack of attention in the forum over this holiday week.

This is outstandingly beautiful. This has a flare of hand-drawn artistry that is so difficult to obtain in photography. There is just the perfect amount of fog/mist to create a wonderful mood and there is an elegant arrangement of trees and leaves.

Superb image!

Mmmmm! Very high on artistic appeal, Nye, from the mist to the trunks and branches drawing themselves all over the frame to the color. Fantastic. Congratulations on the EP.

Nye, this is killer! I really like the dark tree trunks and the pastel effect the fog gives the trees. Outstanding, and congrats on the editor's pick. Well deserved.

Some uniquely curving trunk shapes in these trees nicely positioned. I like the way the mist has further desaturated all these modest pastel hues. An image like this can be attractive to those looking for a print that will provide a subdued relaxed mood in a room. ...David
