Summer Morn

I would really like some crop / compositional feedback on this one. Or if it might go to the trash bin as I've been contemplating working on this one at all. Captured at a State of Illinois Prairie Preserve area this past summer. I happened upon these two Monarchs perched upon this prairie grass swaying in the early morning breeze. This is why there may be some softness in the butterflies themselves.

Canon 20D handheld
70 -200 @ 155, 2.8 @ 1/4000
ISO 800, what ?
Slight USM & sat boost on butterflies in CS3

CC welcome

Mitch, the image is very fresh and unique !! I think having the full sun would have added a lot. May be opening up butterflies a bit will also add to it. Thanks for sharing :wavey:

I certainly wouldn't toss it yet. Play with it a bit in PS, especially trying to brighten the butterflies. I don't think I would try to print it large - a combination of a bit of softness and it just doesn't demand to be printed big.
