Signs of Autumn

I believe this is a Cottonwood Leaf. This photo was taken this past fall in the woodlands of Michigan. I particularly like it because of the colors reflected in the water and the brightness of the leaf itself.

Equipment:
Sony DSLR A-100
70-300 MM
1/10; F 7.1
Tripod

Kim: This is absolutely superb. I especially like the color spectrum, the placement of the leaf in the frame and the hint of the leaf underwater. Many kudos.>=))>

Hi Kim,
Welcome to the Macro forums. A very nice first post with a great diagonal presentation and good strong colors.. The water tension around the leaf is exceptionally nice. :toast:

Congratulations! Kim... This is just beautiful. The color and comp are superb, as well as your light being very sweet! It has such a "zen" feel to it. I can just feel the slight tension as it rests on the surface. Very well done, indeed! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Great capture Kim! The leaf in the upper left, below the surface, I'd try to PS that out. Regardless...I'd take it! Nice job! Perfect leaf. The water tension around the stem submerging into the water is so cool, as swell as around the leaf itself.
