Very fortunate sighting - did you see any cubs? Looks like a nursing female to me.

Don't think I've ever seen a photo of one in daylight - very cool capture!

a very nice light! Good catch-light, nice nose reflection. Well done! Lactating female?

I thought I knew about most mammals, but I have never even heard of this one! Thanks for posting such an interesting animal and it is a very nice capture. Could you clone out that out of focus sl. diagonal weed in front of the animal? It is the only thing I would change. It detracts from the otherwise L to R diagonal of the animal.
Congratulations on such a fortunate encounter and great capture!

Fantastic image! I was lucky enough to see an aardwolf once but it just ran in front of my car after dark. Just to see one during the day is phenomenal!

Very cool! In daylight and with good surroundings...way to go! My only nit is the oof stick in the foreground, I'd try to get that out.
