It's always fun to shoot with like-minded photographers, but at some time, someone is going to walk into your frame. You curse a bit, but then realise that anyone looking purposeful can be a good subject. Here we have Kah Kit taking his shot ("Golden Rush" in Earth, Sea, Sky). This turns out to be my favourite shot from this beach.

Canon 5D, 24-105mm, Singh Ray ND grad (can't remember which), Gitzo tripod.

I really like this. I love the light and your composition. Kah Kit really ads a sense of scale to this.

Beautiful, Winnie. The person ends up enhancing the shot by providing scale.

A beautiful shot Winnie. I just love the warmth and of course the beautiful landscape. Kah Kit's silhouette really adds nice scale, but I think for me what tops this shot off is the reflection of the sky in the bottom right - for me it just anchors my eyes toward that view. :toast:

Winnie this is awesome. I loved your Legacy of the Sea shot as well as KK's Stone Age but this one tops both of those great shots easy in my opinion. This has magazine cover written all over it. This is perfection!!

Hi Winnie,

Man and nature doesn't get much better than this. Here is the seascape photographer in his element. Nice to see Kah Kit at work! The beautiful cloud up top and the equally beautiful reflection at the bottom could threaten to split the image and leave the middle feeling relatively empty but Kah Kit's silhouette is a great focal point and the reflected light on the wet sand fills the rest of the middleground very nicely. The rock at middle left and the fade to dark at the lower left corner round out the elements containing this image very well. Stunning light.

Thanks for our comments everyone. I like the cloud reflection the best. I agree the figure in the landscape helps pull the comp together.

What a gorgeous image, Winnie! And as it turns out, quite a cooperative subject(s)- Kah Kit and the elements surrounding him. Congrats for the EP!

Congratulations Winnie, a well deserved EP. I really like this - the composition, the colors, the layers in the bg, the reflections in the foreground, the placement of Kah Kit, everything. Well done!

Thanks to the Editors and NPN community for all your encouragement. I'm trying very hard to get photography off the ground this year. I will take the EP as a good sign. Many thanks!

Fantastic! Great to see the human in the landscape. Especially a fellow photographer. The light is gorgeous and the composition helps achieve great great depth.
