My wife's cousin's wife asked me to do some shots of their one year old on his first birthday. They love the outdoors and always bring their little guy along, so the outdoors are very much a part of his life as well. I did the shoot in their back yard (I wish it was my back yard!). I thought this photo captured the little guy's early love for the outdoors and the beginning of his independence as he just started running (trying to run) for the hills.

Really neat shot Wayne! The OOF BG really aids the comp as well. Nicely done.

Hi Wayne, Black and White works very well here and I love the soft OOF grasses and the distant background.

This is great :jump:

Wayne, I just love this. The focus is spot on: just enough to make everything out, and just soft enough to accent a great moment. :toast:

I love this shot! The framing, the comp and the B&W are just awesome.

I see the fearlessness and curiosity of the toddler as he trundles off......

(hmmm....I wonder how far he got!)

Wow, this has a "classic" feel, with the B&W and the subject framed in identifiable OOF elements.
