WC333 Mushroom with Ballerina 'Legs'

I tended this mushroom (the first to appear) for several days by moving pebbles out of its way as it grew. It rewarded me with its pristine, lovely stalk.

Sony H-9, 110-mm equiv. f/6.3, 1/15 sec, iso 100 (EV +.3), tripod + remote.
Several exposures for DOF, major cropping, and lots of other little things that I hope are not apparent. I wanted this mushroom to be beautiful.

Rosemarie, I think this is a beautiful dancing ballerina. It's crazy but for a fungi photo, I think you have created a masterpiece. :toast:

The texture of the mushroom looks like silk. The small rock on the right with the orange is just grand.

Very, very nice job.

Nice textures (both rocks and subject) & details Rosemarie. It's well exposed and stands out well against this dark BG.
Well done :toast:
