After being an avid, amateur photographer for years, I several years ago I begun selling my work to help pay for my passion. I currently shoot digitally with a Canon 20D, though I formally shot black & white print film and color slide film. I am a member of the Nature Photographers Network, the Travel Photographers Network, the Sound Exposure Photo Club, and the Mountaineers photography group.
I reside in Gig Harbor, Washington and enjoy my nearby access to the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, Puget Sound, the Pacific Ocean, Mt. Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Area, and other photogenic Washington locations. I have a Masters Degree in Geology, hold a "day job" as a hydrogeologist, and am currently preparing a stock portfolio of geologic images. I have found that my training as a geologist has helped in my image selection and compostion. Besides photography, I also enjoy sea kayaking, hiking, and backpacking.
My work is available directly by visiting my web site or emailing me.
