August on the High Plaines

A Columbine Tractor works a hilly field in the high plains east of Denver. The remnant clouds from violent storms are lit up by a windowed beam of golden sunlight. I had just completed photographing sports cars at High Plains Raceway; then continued to shoot the increasing color in the skies. This shot was with the 300mm f/2.8 sports lens toward a farm just beyond the track.
